Get free SSL for WordPress with WP-encryption for Namecheap users

Install plugin

plugin=wp-letsencrypt-ssl (Affiliate link)

Install the plugin

Activate the plugin

Skip diagnostic tracking 

Select free plan

Fill the email, check generate ssl for both www and non-www, check I agree to both, and uncheck the anonymously send response… and click Generate ssl certificate.

Follow these instructions on Namecheap Cpanel, 

Then copy each certificate 

You get a free certificate from Namecheap for the first year, so go to the Manage SSL Sites section of Namecheap and click Update Certificate.

And enter the certificate, then private key and ca bundle one by one

And then insatll certificate

It will be installed successfully 

Now go to the wordpress plugin page and click “Enable https now”

This screen will appear. 

Just wait for 5 – 10 minutes and refresh your site. It will have a lock sign. 

You can now set a reminder to update the SSL after 85 days, so you can do so before the deadline and your site remains secure without any downtime.

All my sites will be updated in one batch on one day. That saves me a lot of time and money.
